Ahmedabad has developed a suitable environment for the growth of the life sciences industry. It is one of Gujarat's most advanced pharma clusters as a result of a strong MSME sector, an industrially-friendly regulatory environment, supportive industry bodies, and medical and financial institutions. Currently, several pharma companies have their business units in Ahmedabad and are continuously striving to expand their presence.

Therefore, Express Pharma is organising the maiden edition of the "Ahmedabad Pharma Summit" on April 21, 2023, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Ahmedabad.

The Ahmedabad Pharma Summit 2023 will bring together experts, thought leaders and veterans from the industry and regulatory bodies to assess the potential growth areas in the life sciences industry and explore opportunities for businesses in this sphere to create value and long-term sustainability.

Over the past two years, the pharma industry has seen significant transformation across the world. In this context, as Indian pharma shifts from a conventional, volume-based business strategy to a value-based approach, finding the right opportunities and understanding the challenges become crucial.

Hence, Express Pharma is organising a series of “Pharma Summits” across the nation's pharma centres to strategically leverage opportunities as well as find and apply new operating business models that support a value-driven approach to foster business growth. The overarching theme for this year's “Pharma Summits” is "Volume to Value Leadership: Opportunities and Challenges for India Pharma Inc."

These summits will look at the many factors driving value in the pharma ecosystem as companies strive to outperform in the upcoming market such as cost and competitive pressures, scientific advancements, stakeholders with advanced digital skills, progressive regulatory changes, and the expanding breadth and interoperability of data and technologies.

The first one of this series in FY2023-24 is the Ahmedabad Pharma Summit.
